About Hill Capital Partners
Paul Campbell is the founder and owner of Hill Capital Partners, through which he carries out private investment and advisory roles across the leisure and hospitality sectors.
Having formerly created, grown and sold several businesses of his own Paul today works with ambitious entrepreneurs, Boards and fellow investors who are looking to significantly expand their businesses.
Over his career Paul has taken a number of businesses through successful rounds of funding, exits and IPO’s.
Current investments & roles
Paul gets involved with businesses in a variety of ways – sometimes as founder, other times as an early stage investor and also alongside Private Equity funds to drive value and successful exits.
Paul is currently an investor in and sits on the Boards as Chairman/NED of a number of respected and rapidly growing businesses in the leisure and hospitality sectors.
These include Hawksmoor, The Alchemist, 200 Degrees Coffee and Yard Sale Pizza.
He co-founded and sits on the Board of Blacklock and is co-founder and Chairman of Fairgame.
Paul is an Advisor to Only A Pavement Away, a charity acting as a conduit between employers in the hospitality industry and organisations supporting the homeless, ex-offenders and ex-service personnel.
He is also supports the food waste and inequality charity City Harvest as a member of its Food Council.
Former investments & roles
Paul has been involved with the creation, development and exit through sale or IPO of a number of the UK's most highly regarded leisure businesses.
In the hospitality sector these include Hickory’s, Tortilla, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, New World Trading Company and PizzaExpress.
In hotels Paul was on the Board of Palladian Hotels which acquired, developed and sold a leading 5 star luxury hotel resort in Eire.
Earlier in his career he founded, led and successfully exited one of the UK's leading groups of health and fitness clubs.
Paul's experience with these businesses includes brand development and roll out, international expansion, corporate and financial strategy, governance, fundraising and exit planning.
At the start of his career Paul qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse.

Paul is often invited to speak and publish articles about the leisure and hospitality industries and has presented at a number of national and international events.
He speaks passionately about these industries and also on a wide range of business matters.
